"Being in DTLA can be a little tricky but I did feel safe at this hotel and I did feel that they take security seriously which is important when you are traveling alone . I loved the architecture of the interior and the room was very quiet . This is a cash free property which I was not prepared for and will be next time for tips etc . I will definitely return next time in town . "

"Beds are a little uncomfortable (hard) and sheets and towels are dingy. But overall I have no other complaints. For the price and the area I would stay again."

"The Hotel Normandie is a beautiful property. It feels like a building from a bygone age. It's so lovely inside, and the rooms reflect an older style of hotel. The bathrooms are quaint, with white subway tile and antique fixtures. The rooms are plain but beautiful with lots of wood, high ceilings, and moldings. I loved the hard wood floors. The beds were comfortable, and we slept pretty soundly even with the single-pane windows that didn't entirely block out the street noise. But that was okay....

"Had a date night with my wife and we absolutely loved it. Restaurant was good and great friendly service by all the staff. we enjoyed walking around and looking at the old pictures and wandering around the hotel. "
